How can I easily get pregnant?

If you want to get pregnant easily then you must try to conceive during your most fertile period i.e. around ovulation. You must try to eat healthy and balanced nutritious meals as well as keep a check on your weight for gaining pregnancy. Adopting a healthy lifestyle also helps you to attain conception quickly. This incorporates doing light exercise on a regular basis and staying away from oily and processed food items. Staying away from liquor and stress is also equally important for a woman who is trying for conception. The last thing that can help you to get pregnant easily is taking up a prenatal appointment with your gynecologist to know your reproductive health and stocking up the supplements as recommended for obtaining pregnancy.

Can a 53 year old woman get pregnant?

Generally no would be the answer as far as a natural pregnancy is concerned. It is because a woman is unable to produce an egg once she has reached the stage of menopause. But the pregnancy may still be possible for a healthy woman only by way of a donor egg. The biological clock for the ovaries gets shut down for a woman who crosses 50 years. But her reproductive clock is still tickling therefore, she can very well go for a pregnancy by way of a donated fertilized egg. However, a pregnancy during this time would always be high risk and C-section. With increased maternal age, there are also issues in health with respect, blood pressure, diabetes and other birth complications.

How many days do you ovulate?

Ovulation is the time when a healthy and mature egg is released from your ovaries every month for fertilization to occur in the fallopian tubes. In a cycle of 28 days, ovulation occurs around the fourteenth day every month. The ovulation would last for about 24 hours every month. The released egg would be then shed and dissolved in the form of menstruation from your body after two weeks or simply gets fertilized with sperm and results in pregnancy. The time to achieve pregnancy is therefore the best when you are ovulating and most fertile too. A woman can get pregnant not only on the day of ovulation but also before the start of ovulation i.e. two to three days before your ovulation day.

How much does an IVF cycle cost?

The cost of IVF treatment usually depends on the clinic you choose. The average IVF cost for one cycle in India can be INR 2,50,000 and can even go up to INR 4,50,000. These rates are usually for private infertility clinics. There are not many government-run infertility clinics. Metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, etc. will usually have higher costs. Women who are above age 35 may require multiple IVF cycles as they may not conceive in the very first cycle. Further, there could also be additional costs if donor sperm or eggs are used. Lastly, if you decide to freeze the embryos, the cost would increase further.
