    •    Some of the activities which lead to high prolactin levels being produced include lack of sleep, strenuous schedules, very high-intensity workouts, and PCOS to name a few.

This condition can be detected with the help of a blood test. Your doctor will ask you if there is any irregularity in your menstrual cycle and if you have a thyroid. Thereafter, MRI and CT scanning will be performed to diagnose the problem as well.

Since prolactin is an essential element in pregnancy, sex drive, and menstruation, very high levels of prolactin which can have some side effects including the absence of ovulation, headache, vision issues, infertility, lower sex drive, irregular menstrual cycle, increased weight and becoming impotent.
